Often we associate the office buildings with grey walls and concrete jungles. However, our building in Amsterdam is very different. The building’s management has created a beautiful flower garden and has set some beehives on the roof of the building.
This is a habitat many other species than just the honey bees on the roof. I’ve spotted several types of bumble bees and wild bees, as well as ladybirds.
Of course this habitat is also a lovely place to eat for those of us who work here. With a couple of the raised beds being open with just grass it allows for a picnic area just outside the office.
The garden makes our office day just that little bit better!
